In this category you will find Banff properties classified as hotels because they generally have a 24 hour, year-round front desk to assist guests and a restaurant/lounge. In addition, 95% of the units are managed by one hotel management company. Some hotels will feature guestrooms and other will offer guestrooms and self-catered suites.

Each hotel is given a rating from one to five Stars - the more stars, the higher the quality and the greater the range of facilities and level of service provided.

Banff Horizons has chosen to offer properties rated two stars and above in order to ensure you will have a memorable experience in our beautiful Resort.

Economy: Practical accommodation expected to be fair and acceptable overall with minimal on-site facilities and services. Rooms are generally small & functional. May not have a private bathroom and in-room telephone.

Value: Modest accommodation expected to be clean and basic comfortable furnishings. Suitable for those seeking value over atmosphere. Rooms generally feature private bathroom, telephone and TV. May offer limited on-site facilities and services.

Quality: Offers significantly greater quality and range of facilities and services. Commendable standard of furnishings and personalized service. Rooms offer more extensive amenities and more careful attention to décor and comfort. Property generally feature on-site dining, pool and/or fitness center.

Superior: Upscale establishment with superior comfort. Usually offer a fine-dining restaurant, lounge and room service with extended hours. Service features usually include baggage assistance, concierge service and valet parking. Property and guestrooms are thoughtfully designed with stylish furnishings, high-quality bedding and bath products, and a wide array of amenities.

Exceptional: Highest international quality of accommodation, facilities, services and cuisine. Original architecture and interior design throughout, high-grade materials in construction and décor, superlative service, gourmet dining, wide range of extra amenities and 24-hour room service.
